The highly-polished case has a diameter of 44mm and features a steel base. Inspired by the “MARINA MILITARE“ frogmen’s watches from the pre-war years. The balanced dial makes a particularly striking impression, with the “8 Giorni Brevettato“ lettering at the 3 o’clock position providing a visual counterbalance to the small seconds at the 9 o’clock position.
PANERAI have incorporated the new manually-wound manufacturer calibre P.5000 with eight-day power reserve into the Luminor Marina 8 Days Acciaio. The movement features 21 jewels, 15¾ lignes, and beats at a rate of 21,600 oscillations per hour. The movement consists of 127 components in total. Hours, minutes and small seconds are located at the 9 o’clock position. The PAM 590 is a robust companion thanks to use of KIF Parechoc® impact protection.
