PANERAI's Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Power Reserve Acciaio PAM 423 employs the new hand-wound P.3002 calibre movement. The watch will run for three days without winding, and it features a power reserve indicator on the dial. This PANERAI PAM 423 is offered in a wonderful visual combination of a stainless steel case, a black dial with beige-coloured markers, and a brown leather strap.
For the PANERAI Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Power Reserve Acciaio PAM 423, the renowned Italian company have chosen the Calibre P.3002, a hand-wound mechanical movement executed entirely in-house. Amongst the impressive features of this 208-component movement are its two spring barrels and 3-day power reserve.
Functionality on this PANERAI PAM 423 has been deliberately restrained, avoiding all unnecessary distractions. Thus its display shows just hours, minutes and seconds, and the dial also has a power reserve indicator and a seconds zero reset function.
The casing of the PANERAI Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Power Reserve Acciaio measures 47mm in diameter, and both the case and bezel are fashioned in polished steel. This material is both hypoallergenic and highly corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for contact with the skin, even under wet conditions. Transparent sapphire crystal has been used for the caseback, and likewise for the 3mm thick watch glass.
With its fluorescent numerals and hour markers, the black dial is easy to read even in low-light conditions – such as underwater. The seconds display is located at 9 o'clock, with a power reserve indicator at 4 o'clock, and this model is water-resistant to 10 bar, which is around 100 meters. The look of the casing is perfectly complemented by the watchstrap, producing an attractive combination of leather and steel. The brown leather strap, which bears the PANERAI logo, has a brushed-satin steel buckle and comes with a second replacement strap, and a steel screwdriver. This exquisite PAM 423 is a tribute to all those 'Paneristi' who appreciate historic watch designs.
