Luminor Base 8 Days Titanio

This new edition of the Luminor Base 8 Days Titanio PAM 562 features a new P.5000 calibre movement which is executed entirely by PANERAI, and provides a power reserve of eight days. Despite its sporty, elegant looks and practical uncluttered dial, the PANERAI Luminor Base remains an authentic diver's watch, water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters.

Delivery times for this product are dependent on PANERAI and can take several weeks.

Even though its appearance mirrors the traditional stylistic concept of the 1950’s, both its technology and practical dial design confirm the Luminor Base as a modern manufactured watch first unveiled by Dino Zei in 1993.

A new movement for a successful watch

In this new version of the PANERAI Luminor Base 8 Days Titanio, the former Unitas movement has been replaced by the new hand-wound P.5000 calibre movement produced in Neuchatel. This 4.5mm thick movement comprises 127 components, including a Glucydur® balance, anti-shock protection, and two barrels which enable this PANERAI PAM 562 to achieve a power reserve of eight days. Due to its robust movement, protective crown lever bridge and 2.5mm thick anti-reflective Sapphire crystal glass, this watch is water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters. The movement used in this Panerai Luminor Base, reference PAM 562, is housed in a 44mm diameter titanium case with a transparent sapphire crystal back, and this new hand-wound calibre now has a flatter look than the slightly cushion-shaped case of the earlier model. The titanium case material is hypoallergenic and also extremely resistant to sea water.

Clear, functional design

The timepiece is a genuine diver's watch. This can be most clearly seen on the outside by the angular crown protection bridge, the most striking design feature of this practical watch. With this Luminor Base, the whole focus is upon its brown dial and display visibility. The dial has been fashioned using the well-proven sandwich construction. A green luminous Super-LumiNova® coating is applied to the lower disc, and numerals and indexes are then cut into the upper dial plate. In conjunction with the watch hands, which are similarly coated, this method guarantees excellent readability at night and deep underwater.

A diver's watch in chocolate brown

Its brown dial and brown vintage-style watchstrap echo PANERAI's historic role as pre-war manufacturers of dive watches for the Italian navy, and its minimalist design captures the spirit of the modern age. And yet its clean and practical lines also give the Titanium Luminor Base a sporty and elegant air. This is so much more than just a leisure watch.
