The brand OFFICINE PANERAI was producing the first divers’ watches for the Italian navy even before the Second World War. Under conditions of the utmost secrecy, the first Radiomir models with the luminous sandwich dial were produced in Florence. Montres Rolex SA from Switzerland supplied the movement and case to the Italians. Guido Panerai simply incorporated his sandwich dial and stitched a calf leather strap with a trapeze thorn clasp to the divers’ watches.
The PANERAI PAM00613 Radiomir Ceramica today still features the same case design as the original in 1936. However, OFFICINE PANERAI now supplies the PAM 613 with a very robust, black ceramic case. Today, it is very easy to change the strap by loosening four screws. Ex works, PANERAI supplies the PAM 613 with a dark-brown “Assolutamente” calf-leather strap with beige stitching. This goes perfectly with the Super-LumiNova® on the sandwich dial.
The PAM 613 is powered by a mechanical, manually-wound movement with a power reserve of 56 hours. The calibre OP X operates a frequency of 21,600 oscillations per hour, and features Incabloc® shock protection and a swan’s-neck regulator. In addition, the movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève polish.
As it comes in a strictly limited edition of just 100, this Special Edition from 2014 makes the PAM 613 a highly-prized collector’s item for all Paneristi. Originally, this Radiomir Ceramica was reserved for the Turkish market. Officially, the model sold out in Turkey quite some time ago. So we are delighted to be able to offer you the latest, newly-available PAM00613 Radiomir Ceramica. Due to the high level of demand for limited edition PANERAI models, this particular model is definitely a good investment.
