The Swiss manufacturer is presenting a new case size with the PANERAI Radiomir 1940 3 Days GMT Automatic Acciaio. PAM 627 presents the 45mm diameter in a polished steel case. The wonderful “Clous de Paris” dial has beige, imprinted numbers and indexes.  Hour, minute, GMT, small seconds, and AM/PM indicators at 9 o’clock. Date at 3 o’clock position. Compatible with this, PANERAI delivers a black calfskin strap with beige seams.

Technical refinement

Particular emphasis is also placed on the big, screwed winding crown with the “OP logo”. This is what OFFICINE PANERAI represents. It is a reminder of the original with the reference 6152/1 from the 1940s. Even then, this model had an over-dimensional crown. Back then, Montres Rolex SA was the manufacturer of the case and winding crown. Such details due to the historical meaning is very much appreciated by Paneristi. In the PAM 627, the glass base provides a view into the new automatic P.4001 calibre. This watch has a micro-rotor and a new power reserve indicator on the back of the watch.

Elegant and robust

For the Radiomir 1940 3 Days GMT Automatic Acciaio, great emphasis was placed on the good readability. All markings on the dial are made of Super-LumiNova®. The glossy finished case made of steel is very skin friendly and fits the wrist joint very well. This PANERAI is delivered with a black calfskin strap with beige seams. This colour combination is also reflected on the dial. The band attachments of PAM 627 are studded and not screwed, in doing so, the band can be easily replaced without great effort.

Pure Harmony

The P.4001 calibre being used has a 3 day power reserve indicator through two spring barrels linked in series. This is located at the 8 o’clock position. The micro-rotor, that rotates in both directions, with the OFFICINE PANERAI lettering and the historical OP logo is located at the 5 o’clock position. The balance-wheel is stopped while setting the time. This makes it possible to set the time very precisely. It goes without saying that PANERAI also installed a KIF Parechoc® anti-shock device in PAM 627 with the P.4001 calibre. This PANERAI is an absolutely reliably companion. Perfect for lovers of automatic watches that do not want to do without a second time zone.
