These divers’ watches with Italian roots have enjoyed great appeal amongst watch collectors for many years. As a contrast to the black, blue or brown sandwich-design dials, OFFICINE PANERAI also have the core skills with regard to white dials with printed Super LumiNova. So, PANERAI presents the PAM00660 Luminor Marina Logo Acciaio with a light, white dial and cream-coloured Super LumiNova luminous points and hands. The black, Arabic numerals provide an excellent contrast, but do not light up when it’s dark.

As with all Luminor models from OFFICINE PANERAI, the crown protection bracket is mounted at the 3 o’clock position. However, this Guido Panerai invention was only patented after the Second World War. Up to that point, this invention was a component which was vital for the war effort, and not known outside the Italian navy. To go with it, the PAM 660 also has a screwed, steel caseback, which is also accurate from a historical point of view.

The perfect divers’ watch

In the PAM 660, OFFICINE PANERAI has incorporated the manually-wound calibre OP II with 56-hour power reserve when fully-wound. The energy is transferred to the hour and minute hands. The small seconds display is located at the 9 o’clock position. This means the calibre OP II also comes with C.O.S.C. certificate. On this model, PANERAI fit a brown “Monte Carlo” calf-leather strap with golden stitching. A 22mm pin buckle is fitted to go with the high-sheen, polished case.

Patented crown protection

The popular OP = OFFICINE PANERAI logo is milled into the steel of the caseback. The light-blue OP logo on the dial reminds you of the PANERAI brand heritage. So the dial has been designed with the cream-coloured luminous points and hands for very good reason. Paneristi the world over love the vintage look, especially with this model. And of course, the unbeatable price!
