Ever since the launch of the PAM 000, the Luminor Marina Logo Acciaio has become one of PANERAI’s bestsellers. This model became highly popular at the end of the 1990s as a result of various films featuring Sylvester Stallone. The new PAM 1000 received a subtle facelift in 2016. The main features of the basic model remain the same however, much to the joy of all Paneristi.
The PAM01000 replaces the PAM00000 Luminor Base Logo Acciaio. OFFICINE PANERAI integrates the popular manually wound calibre OP I. It delivers 56 hours of power reserve and ticks with 21,600 vibrations per hour. A new feature of the PAM 1000 is its brushed steel case bottom. This is no longer screwed together; instead, it is incorporated into the casing.
A new classic
The new Luminor Base Logo Acciaio PAM 1000 is made from polished, stainless steel. The famous OP logo is printed under the PANERAI lettering on the watch face at the 6 o’clock position. The needles, the Arabic numerals and the indexes are made from Super-LumiNova®. Luminor is printed on the watch face at the 12 o’clock position.
A watch with history
In order to improve its water resistance, Guido Panerai developed the crown guard for the Italian navy before the Second World War. This important war component was only patented after WW2. Until then, it was a strongly guarded secret. The crown guard and case bottom of the PAM 1000 are made from satin stainless steel. The casing and buckle of the Luminor Base Logo Acciaio is made from polished stainless steel.
A timepiece for purists
OFFICINE PANERAI is offering the PAM 1000 ex-works with a black “Monte-Carlo” calf leather wristband with black stitching in size 125/75 BA 24/22. With a depth of 100 metres, the PANERAI guarantees waterproofness. The new PAM01000 will follow on from the huge success of the PAM00000. Due to high demand there may be long delivery times for the new Luminor Base Logo Acciaio.
